Suitable For Which Investors?
When you invest for five years or more, you can expect gains that comfortably beat the inflation rate as well as returns from fixed income options. But be prepared for ups and downs in your investment value along the way.
This fund is mandated to invest at least 25 per cent of its money each in stocks of large, medium and small-sized companies. Such funds can be fairly volatile since at least 50% of their assets will always be invested in mid and small cap stocks which generally experience more severe ups and downs. This makes them suitable for long-term investors who don’t mind higher risk, but we suggest you also consider flexi-cap funds which offer complete freedom to fund managers to choose companies of different sizes.
Like for all equity funds, you must invest only through the SIP route.
Fund’s Investment Strategy:
The scheme seeks to provide returns before expenses that correspond to the total returns of the Nifty500 Multicap Momentum Quality 50 Index Fund, subject to tracking errors.
Fund Manager:
1) Bharat Lahoti
Education: Mr. Lahoti is a B.E. (Electronics & Communication) from Mumbai University and MMS (Finance) from N L Dalmia Institute of Management Studies
Experience: Prior to joining Edelweiss Asset Management Limited as a Fund Manager – Equity and a Key Person , he was associated with D.E. Shaw India Software Pvt. Ltd. as a Senior Manager – Fundamental Research and has an overall work experience of 9 years in the research function of organizations in the financial services sector.
2) Bhavesh Jain
Education: Mr. Jain is a MMS (Finance) from Mumbai University.
Experience: Prior to joining Edelweiss Mutual Fund he was previously associated with Edelweiss Securities Limited as SGX Nifty Arbitrage Trader.
