Suitable For Which Investors?
“This is a fund that invests mainly in shares of foreign companies. When you invest for five years or more, you can expect gains that beat the inflation rate as well as returns from fixed income options. But be prepared for ups and downs in your investment value along the way.
International equity funds are suitable to invest a part of your money in for diversification, so that if the Indian markets are going through a sharp correction, a portion of your money is insulated. But make sure you invest in a fund that has a broad mandate of investing in companies of different sizes, sectors and countries.
Like for all equity funds, you must invest only through the SIP route.
Fund’s Investment Strategy:
The Scheme seeks capital appreciation by dynamically investing in units of Global (including Indian) Equity funds/ETFs & Fixed income funds/ETFs. The Scheme may also invest a certain portion of its corpus in money market securities and/or money market/liquid schemes of DSP Mutual Fund, in order to meet liquidity requirements from time to time.
Fund Manager:
1) Jay Kothari
Education: Mr. Kothari is a BMS and MBA from Mumbai University.
Experience: Prior to becoming the fund manager in DSP Mutual Fund, he has worked as the Vice President in the equity investments division as well a product strategist in DSPBRIM.
2) Kedar Karnik
Education: Mr. Karnik is a BE and has done his Masters in Management Studies from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies.
Experience: Prior to joining DSP Mutual Fund he was associated with Axis Asset Management. He has also worked with HSBC and CRISIL Ltd..
3) Laukik Bagwe
Education: Mr. Bagwe is a B.Com (H) and PGDBA (Finance)
Experience: Prior to joining DSP Mutual Fund he has worked with Derivium Capital and Securities Pvt. Ltd. and with Birla Sun Life Securities Ltd.
