Is it good to invest in Baroda BNP Paribas Innovation Fund?
Guidance for Baroda BNP Paribas Innovation Fund by Paresh Gordhandas, C.A., Research Analyst.
Innovation Funds are like an Old wine in a new bottle (something that we have highlighted earlier too). Many AMCs are launching Innovation Fund, eg. ICICI Prudential Innovation Fund, UTI Innovation Fund, Nippon India Innovation Fund etc. But all these Funds are investing in companies such as HDFC Bank, L&T, Reliance Industries, ITC, TCS etc. So though the benchmark is different from that of a large cap fund, the fund comprises of the same old companies. Since the companies are good, the Fund is expected to give good returns.
But in that case it is better to invest in Large Cap Funds with a long track record and larger AUMs.
