[ C ] Our NFO Review
The fund aims to generate long-term capital growth by picking quality mid-sized companies. It will target businesses with scalable models, strong management, and competitive advantages.
The fund will follow a bottom-up stock-picking approach. It plans to invest across sectors such as financials, industrials, healthcare, and consumer. It aims to balance growth and risk through healthy diversification and strict risk management.
The Fund will be managed by Mr. Alok Singh. He is also the Head of Investment for Bank of India Mutual Fund. A sample study of the other funds managed by him show a satisfactory performance.
The Midcap Fund space has a lot of existing players like the ABSL Midcap Fund, Axis Midcap Fund, Bandhan Midcap Fund, Baroda BNP Paribas Midcap Fund to name a few.
Hence, the BOI Midcap Fund will have to face a tough competition and will have to prove its mettle against funds with a long track record.
Investors looking for high-growth potential in mid-cap stocks and who can tolerate elevated volatility can invest a small amount, monitor the performance and then add at a later date.
