About Benchmark Index for this NFO?
The BSE Financial Services is designed to provide investors with a benchmark reflecting companies included in the BSE AIICap that are classified as members of the finance sector. It was launched on 25th February 2022.
Methodology:
1. The sector indices are subsets of the BSE AIICap and are designed to measure the performance of various macro-economic indicators within the Indian equity market.
2. Index constituents are assigned to a sector index based on the constituent’s macro-economic indicator, as classified according to the common India Industry Classification Structure.
3. All eligible share classes of a company are assigned to the same macro-economic indicator and included in the respective index.
