Is it good to invest in Axis Consumption Fund NFO?
Guidance for Axis Consumption Fund by Paresh Gordhandas, C.A., Research Analyst.
Thematic funds have become market darlings in recent months and the fund flowing into such funds is making new highs. And one of the best themes currently is the Consumption Theme. Growing rural demand along with strengthening overall economy and expanding middle class has led to a huge demand for consumption products. Such companies are also declaring good results and hence the stock price is also seeing good support. The Benchmark – Nifty Consumption Index comprises of companies representing the domestic consumption sector which includes sectors like Consumer Non-durables, Healthcare, Auto, Telecom Services, Pharmaceuticals, Hotels, Media & Entertainment, etc.
The Fund will be managed by two Fund Managers – Mr. Hitesh Das and Mr. Shreyash Devalkar. Mr. Shreyas has been managing a lot of Funds from Axis Mutual Fund and has a good track record. A sample study of the Funds managed by Mr. Das also shows a good result.
