The Sundaram Business Cycle Fund will compete with ICICI Prudential Business Cycle Fund (1 year return 49.84%), Axis Business Cycle Fund (1 year return 41.59%), HDFC Business Cycle Fund , Quant Business Cycle Fund etc. Business Cycle Fund is a comparatively new concept and hence the oldest fund with this theme is 5 years old.
The Sundaram Business Cycle Fund has the Nifty 500 as its benchmark. Hence, the Fund Managers have a huge universe from which to select companies. Hence, here the role of the Fund Manager becomes very important. The Fund has four Fund Managers to manage its working. A sample study of the performance of the Fund Managers in the other Funds managed by them is a mixed bag.
