Is it good to invest in Bandhan Innovation Fund NFO?
Guidance for Bandhan Innovation Fund by Paresh Gordhandas, C.A., Research Analyst.
Like all ‘Innovation’ Funds, the name is kind of misleading as the Fund invests in mostly standard largecap bluechip companies like HDFC Bank, Reliance, Infosys, L&T etc. In the past few months, there have been a slew of launches with the word ‘Innovation’ in its name like the Nippon India Innovation Fund, Union Innovation & Opportunity Fund, UTI Innovation Fund and the Baroda BNP Paribus Innovation Fund. But all these funds are investing in the same set of companies.
Don’t get me wrong, the returns generated by these Funds are expected to be good since they are investing in sound bluechip largecap companies. But there is nothing that says ‘Innovation’ in what a normal person would understand it to mean.
Looking at the sample study of the past performance of the Fund Managers, one can say they have largely generated good returns for the investors.
Can invest a small amount.
